Clients rarely worry about machines. They worry about whether the finished item will fit and when it will land. This is exactly how a job travels through the BAFA workshop, so you know what happens after you press send.
1. You send what you have
A CAD file is ideal, but a hand sketch with dimensions, a photo of the existing part or a sample all work. Use the quote request form and attach your drawing. Tell us the quantity, the material if you have a preference, and the date you need it.
The four details that decide your price
- Material and thickness
- Quantity - repeat parts are cheaper per piece
- Tolerance and finish
- Whether we deliver and install
2. We review before we quote
We check the drawing for things that cost you money later: bends too close to a hole, a tolerance tighter than the part needs, a wall thickness that will distort during welding. If a change saves material or machine time without weakening the part, you hear about it in the quote, not after the invoice. More on this in clean, repeatable folds.
3. Cutting and machining
Profiles are cut on the CNC plasma table straight from your file, so the hundredth part matches the first. Round and turned features go to the lathe, flat and pocketed features to the milling machine.
4. Forming, welding, assembly
Sheet work is folded on the press brake, then assembled and welded with the fit checked for square before the final passes. Anything structural gets checked again after cooling, because heat moves steel.
5. Finishing
Edges are dressed, welds cleaned, and the surface prepared and coated for where the item will live. Coastal and high-rainfall sites need more protection than a covered workshop - tell us the location and we specify accordingly.
6. Delivery, installation and tracking
We deliver across Kisii, Nyamira, Migori, Homa Bay, Kisumu and beyond, and install where installation is part of the job. Follow progress any time using your reference on the tracking page.
What you get at the end
A part that fits, an agreed price, and a record of the job so a repeat order is a one-line request rather than a new conversation. Browse recent projects to see the output, or read why clients pick BAFA.
